Bali

Today, my Java adventure is over, but the memories I've collected will last a lifetime. I'm bidding farewell to Ketapan and setting sail for the enchanting island of Bali. Our journey begins with a bus ride that leads us to a remarkable boat adventure, propelling us toward Bali's shores. The island beckons with promises of adventure and exploration, and our group eagerly embraces what lies ahead.

Arrival and Hotel Stay:

Upon reaching Bali, our group disperses to different hotels. My chosen sanctuary is the Wina Holiday Villa in Kuta. After a smooth check-in process, some of us decide to dine at Poppies restaurant, immersing ourselves in the local flavors and venturing into the nearby stores. The vibrant atmosphere and delicious cuisine set the tone for our Bali adventure.

Exploring Nusa Penida:

The following day, we rise early and embark on a thrilling journey to Nusa Penida Island. A high-speed boat transports us to this magical place, where we explore iconic spots like Kelingking viewpoint, Angels Billabong, and Broken Beach. However, the highlight of the day is our snorkeling expedition with Manta rays—an awe-inspiring encounter. A word of advice: wear a wetsuit to avoid an encounter with jellyfish, as I learned the hard way!

A Day of Rest and Exploration:

After our exhilarating underwater adventure, I decided to take a day of rest and relaxation on the beach. The soothing sound of the waves provided the perfect backdrop for reflection on the incredible experiences I've had so far.

Ubud:

As my adventure draws to a close, I make my way to Ubud, a town known for its cultural richness and vibrant market. Here, I collect souvenirs that will forever remind me of this enchanting place. In the evening, I delve into Kuta's local food scene, savoring the flavors that Bali has to offer.

Bali Zoo:

On my last full day in Bali, I venture to the Bali Zoo, where I partake in a truly epic experience—a mud bath with elephants. These gentle giants left an indelible mark on my heart as we interacted with them in the most unique way. After the mud bath, we hosed them off, and they joined us for a refreshing swim, splashing and playing with us. It was an unforgettable encounter with nature's wonders.

Farewell to Indonesia:

As the sun sets on my time in Indonesia, it's time to bid farewell to this magical place. Our group heads to Skye Garden in Kuta for a night of celebration, making the most of our final hours on the island. With the clock striking 4 am, we reluctantly retreat to our accommodations, savoring the last moments.

Conclusion:

The next day, it's time to say goodbye to Indonesia, bringing an end to my amazing adventure. As I board the flight from Denpasar to Jakarta to Amsterdam, I'm filled with gratitude for the experiences and memories that will stay with me forever. Indonesia, with its stunning landscapes, warm hospitality, and unforgettable encounters, has left an indelible mark on my heart. I know I'll be back someday to explore even more of this incredible destination, but for now, it's time to embrace the journey home, cherishing the adventures of my Indonesia expedition in my heart.
